A Bit About Me

I was first drawn to writing because I am curious about everything. I enjoy the research process as well as the word play. I am interested in branding and the creative vision behind a brand. At Good Housekeeping, I was on the team that worked to develop the Good Housekeeping Green Seal. We consulted the top experts in the sustainability field to earn the trust of our readers while delivering content in the voice of the magazine.

Now, I balance my two passions–writing and teaching. I taught writing at Creighton Prep for 13 years before moving onto Creighton University. I teach creative writing and a literature-based course focusing on critical issues of human inquiry.

On another side of creativity, I am working on a historical fiction novel that takes place during WWII. The story follows a family's move from Ireland to the United States after a family tragedy.
